Furthermore, believing that, in the energy sector, there are opportunities for integration of the private sector, the President of CCM, called for exploring the potential for the production of wind and solar energy, either to expand sources of energy production, or to take advantage of the natural resources.

EDM Advisor, Daniel Guambe, said that this was an opportunity to awaken the business community about the work and business windows that the electrification program, “Energy for All” brings to the country and reiterated that there must be commitment to guarantee the participation of national businesspeople in public tenders.

“We wanted to share with Mozambican businesspeople the value chain that this program provides, in the construction, material supply and assembly sectors”, he highlighted, adding that the election of national companies has a positive impact on the country’s socio-economic development and job creation.

With the aim of being part of the expansion of the electrical network and supply of quality energy, speaking on the sidelines of the session, the businesspeople stated that the event served to prepare them and allowed a large part of the SMEs present, based on the information shared resources would reduce asymmetries in access to information and business, and also allowed the clarification of doubts linked to the project, from the EDM primary source.
